Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, former Union Steel Minister of the country and former National President of JDU, is a well-known Indian politician. Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, also known as RCP Singh, took the oath of office and secrecy as the Union Minister of Steel in the Modi ministry on July 7, 2021, after successfully conducting it on July 7, 2022. Resigned from the post of minister a day before the end of his Rajya Sabha term. Born on 6th July 1958 in Mustafapur in Nalanda district, considered to be Bihar's knowledge, study and tapobhumi, Shri RCP Singh has served the nation as an IAS officer before joining politics.
Shri RCP Singh has previously been an IAS officer in the UP cadre. During the civil service, he has proved his efficiency by working in many important departments in the UP government. Giving his best in Bihar politics, he has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar from Janata Dal (United) quota. Shri Singh has also served as National General Secretary (Organization) of Janata Dal (United) and JDU National President. Shri Singh, who was a Rajya Sabha MP from Janata Dal (United), made a significant contribution in strengthening the organization as the national president and connected JDU with the people by implementing countless schemes.
Mr. RCP Singh is one of the few politicians who are known for being more engaged in their work than being in the news. Rich in his straightforward nature and simple lifestyle, his political prowess is reflected in the way he works. For more than two decades, he has been contributing his best in the cause of nation building and his name is taken with great respect among the collaborators. Mr. Singh also played an important role in the 2015 Bihar assembly elections.

In the same way, both his daughters are also determined to serve the nation following in the footsteps of their father. Elder daughter Lipi Singh has the distinction of being the first woman IPS officer of Nalanda district and due to her courage and fearless spirit, she is known as "Lady Singham" in Bihar. He arrested Mokama's independent MLA and Bahubali Anant Singh for possessing illegal weapons. Let us tell you that Dabang Anant Singh has a long criminal record and due to his arrogance, even big officers were afraid to take legal action against him. On the other hand, Mr. Singh's younger daughter Lata Singh has started practicing law after completing LLB education.
